Omit energy of external charges from calculation

When running single point calculations with external charges in the $external_charges block, the energy of those interacting charges seems to be included in the total energy, but the energy without these charge-charge interactions is not printed.

Is there a way to omit the calculation of the energy of these external charges? I haven’t seen an option in the manual. Sorry if I am just missing it.

I’m not aware of any such option. (Obviously you could compute yourself, it’s classical.) Wouldn’t be hard to add if you have source code access, if you are interested in that then post on Trac forum or contact me privately.

I think SKIP_CHARGE_SELF_INTERACT = TRUE will do
